The
Passion Flower was given its name by Christian Missionaries. In the
pointed leaves they saw the spear, in the wisps they saw the whips, and in
the column of the ovary they saw the cross. In the dark ring within
they saw the crown of thorns, and its' three day life span is a reminder
of the the Lord's resurrection. |
